What happens after you get in touch
Booking a photographer and film crew from another country can feel like a leap of faith, so we keep the process short and transparent. Three steps, and none of them commit you to anything until you’re ready.
- We reply within 2 hours with our availability for your date, an honest view of what’s realistic at your venue, and a tailored quote. If we’re already booked, we’ll say so straight away rather than leaving you waiting.
- We talk properly. A call or a long email whichever you prefer about the mood you’re after, your family traditions, the moments that matter most, and how the day’s timeline sits against the light.
- We hold the date. A booking agreement and retainer confirm it. From then on we’re planning alongside you: venue coordination, run sheet, and any filming or aerial permits that need filing in advance.
Where we work
Marrakech is home, and we’re on the road across the country most of the season. Knowing a venue before the day matters more than couples expect it’s the difference between finding the light and hoping for it.
- Marrakech — palaces, medina riads and the Palmeraie, from La Mamounia to the smallest courtyard riad. We’ve put together a full guide to the best wedding venues in Marrakech if you’re still choosing.
- The Agafay desert — our favourite backdrop in the country for cinematic and aerial work, and the easiest place in the region to get a flight approved.
- The Atlas and Ourika valley — mountain panoramas, kasbah venues, and light that changes fast at altitude.
- Essaouira and the coast — softer ocean light and a completely different palette from the red city.
- The Sahara, and internationally on request. Travel is quoted transparently, never padded.
One thing worth raising early if aerials are on your list: private drones are prohibited in Morocco and there is no tourist permit, so a visiting supplier legally cannot deliver them. We work as a licensed aerial unit and file the paperwork ourselves — our guide to drone rules for weddings in Morocco explains the timeline in full.
One team, one contact, one timeline
Photography, film and licensed aerial coverage all come from the same h264films crew. Booking them separately is the most common way a couple ends up with a gallery and a film that don’t look like the same day: different angles, different grading, two people competing for the same spot at the ceremony. Here your stills, your film and your aerials share one look rather than three. You can see how that comes together in our portfolio, or read exactly what’s included in our wedding services.
Why couples book a team that is already here
Flying a team in from Europe is a perfectly good option, and plenty of couples do it well. But a few things only work if the crew is based here.
Aerial coverage is the clearest example: a visiting crew cannot legally deliver it, whatever a quote might promise. Beyond that there is the practical side. We already know which riad rooftops catch the last light, which Agafay camps get too much wind at five o’clock, and which venues need their own permissions before a camera goes up. We speak to your planner and your venue directly, in their language and their time zone.
And if something changes on the day, as it usually does, a local crew has a plan B that doesn’t depend on luck. That is most of what you are really booking.
