Three tabs, three different jobs, and a fair sample of what we do as a Morocco wedding photography and filmmaking team. The photography gallery is where a wedding is remembered in single frames a look, a hand, a room before anyone walks in. The films are where it moves and breathes. The aerial reel is the one that shows you the country itself: the medina walls, the stone desert, the Atlas sitting on the horizon behind a ceremony.

We shoot all three ourselves same photographer, same videographer, same drone pilot which is less common in Morocco wedding photography than you’d think. It’s also the reason the grading, the pacing and the point of view stay consistent from your first getting-ready frame to the last aerial pull-out.

Where these weddings happened

Almost everything in this Morocco wedding photography portfolio was shot within two hours of Marrakech, which tells you something useful when you’re planning: you don’t have to choose between a medina riad, a desert horizon and a mountain valley. You can have all three in one weekend.

• The Agafay desert — the stone-desert frames and most of the aerial work here. Open ground, dramatic light, and the easiest place in the region to fly legally.
• Essaouira and the Atlantic coast horses on the sand, softer light, an entirely different palette from the red city.
• Casablanca and the Atlas black-tie interiors on one side, valley panoramas on the other.

A note on the aerial footage

Everything in the drone tab was flown under official authorisation. That matters more here than in most countries: private drones are prohibited in Morocco, there is no tourist permit, and a photographer flying in from abroad legally cannot deliver aerials at all. If you’ve been quoted aerial coverage by a supplier who isn’t based here, that’s worth a question before you sign.

How to use this portfolio when choosing your team

Portfolios are built to impress, so it’s worth looking past the obvious. Three things we’d suggest watching for, in anyone’s Morocco wedding photography portfolio and not just ours:

1. Look for full weddings, not highlights. Twenty perfect frames can come from twenty different days. What you actually receive is a whole gallery, so ask to see one complete wedding start to finish.
2. Watch the difficult light. Midday sun in a courtyard, a candlelit dinner, a dance floor at midnight. Golden hour flatters everyone. The rest of the day is where skill shows.
3. Check whether the film and the photos match. If they look like two different weddings, the photographer and the videographer were probably two suppliers who’d never met before that morning.

The celebrations we photograph and film

Morocco draws an unusually wide mix of weddings, and the portfolio reflects that. Multi-day Indian celebrations with a haldi, a mehndi and a baraat. Jewish ceremonies under a chuppah in a garden at dusk. Quiet elopements with two witnesses and a rooftop. Black-tie receptions for three hundred. Each asks something different of a wedding photographer and videographer working in Morocco, and the difference is mostly preparation rather than equipment.

What doesn’t change is how we work on the day: close enough to catch what’s said between the vows, far enough back that nobody is performing for a lens. Almost nothing here was posed. The portraits were, briefly, and then we got out of the way.

Booking and availability

Spring and autumn are peak season in Morocco, and those dates go twelve to eighteen months ahead. If aerial coverage is part of what you want, plan earlier still the permits alone need three to four months. Everything else in Morocco wedding photography can be arranged quickly; that one cannot.
